Jomblang Cave, known locally as Goa Jomblang, is one of the hundreds of caves in Gunungkidul region, about 40 kilometers from Yogyakarta. It's popular among caving enthusiasts for its unique vertical structure and the dense ancient forest at its base. The cave is around 50 meters wide, with vertical walls ranging from 60 to 80 meters high.
WHAT ?
Jomblang Cave Adventure offers a unique vertical caving experience, where you can witness the stunning “Heavenly Light”—sunbeams streaming through the cave opening between 10 AM and 1 PM.
The crew will help you gear up with rappelling equipment and secure you into a seated harness before lowering you 60 meters down into Jomblang Cave.
At the bottom, the journey continues through a tunnel filled with beautiful natural formations, leading to Grubug Cave—where you’ll witness the breathtaking “Light from Heaven”, a beam of sunlight shining through the cave’s roof. A truly unforgettable and enlightening experience!

- In case the tour gets canceled due to inclement weather, you will be given the option to reschedule the tour or opt for a refund the activity cost

- Stopping for meals is optional and can be added during the tour at no additional costs
- Please note that the Jomblang Cave operates on a first come and first served basis and has limited participants allowed each day. Please refrain from being late for the tour as this may result in being unable to enter the cave, in which case the operator will not be held responsible
